The project is located at Guxiangwei Road Metro Station in Xiangcheng District, Suzhou. The client, Suzhou Metro, envisioned a mixed-use development that fully leverages both the land resources surrounding the metro entrance and the daily pedestrian flow generated by the transit system. The project integrates youth apartments, commercial programs, and parking into a comprehensive transit-oriented development. The site is an irregular triangular parcel bordered by a river to the north, with distant views toward Yangcheng Lake to the east and south. In response to the complexity of the site conditions, programmatic requirements, circulation systems, and user groups, the design seeks to resolve these challenges through a single minimal architectural gesture. The result is a distinctive mixed-use development that tightly intertwines commercial activity and residential living with the identity and movement of the metro station itself.
