Conceived as a quiet extension of everyday living, this 1,200 SF ADU is carefully positioned within the existing site to balance privacy, openness, and landscape. Rather than treating the project as a secondary structure, the design approaches the ADU as a complete living environment — compact yet generous, intimate yet connected to its surroundings. Shaped by the client's desire for flexibility, calmness, and long-term adaptability, the architecture draws from the scale and rhythm of neighboring residential forms while introducing a softer contemporary expression. Natural light, framed views, and warm materiality define the interior atmosphere, allowing the small footprint to feel expansive and deeply rooted in place.
