Located in the historic Zhengyi Ancient Town, this adaptive reuse project transforms the former Zhengyi Property Management Office into a sophisticated fusion of commercial retail and flagship corporate headquarters. While meticulously respecting the original structural framework, the design strategically reconfigures the building's envelope and interior layout to satisfy the dual demands of contemporary commercial aesthetics and high-performance workspace functionality. A central feature of the intervention is the conversion of the former asphalt parking lot into a secluded commercial courtyard, where the complete preservation of existing mature trees establishes a serene "urban sanctuary" that offers an intimate experience in deliberate contrast to the bustling energy of the adjacent historic old street. The materiality of the facade facilitates a refined dialogue between heritage and modernity, utilizing a palette of fair-faced concrete and organic coatings punctuated by warm copper plating and translucent channel glass. This composition of solid and void redefines the building's visual identity, creating a rhythmic and tactile facade that sparks curiosity while honoring its contextual roots, ultimately delivering a transformative hub that functions as both a professional headquarters and a premier commercial destination.
