Located in Wuxi's Jingkai District, the Gonghu Avenue Pedestrian Bridge (Flow Bridge) is a poetic landmark bridging the city's past with its future. Inspired by the rhythmic undulations of Lake Taihu and the silhouettes of ancient stone bridges, the design seamlessly reconnects the urban fabric with nature. The bridge's architecture is a dialogue between weight and weightlessness. Its touchdown points reimagine the grounded strength of traditional masonry arches, while the main span embodies the fluid spirit of Taihu. A sophisticated gradient of perforations on the facade interacts with sunlight, replicating the shimmering texture of the lake through modern material innovation. Beyond the structure, the landscape is choreographed as a multi-sensory journey. Undulating green belts and "Autumn Water" paving mimic rolling waves, while integrated waterscapes celebrate Wuxi's deep aquatic heritage, creating an experiential path that invites citizens to rediscover their city's unique cultural landscape.
