Located at the former Yuanjiadian plastic factory site, the project transforms an industrial complex into a multifunctional rural public space, including a village market, shaded pavilion, tea house, interactive workshop, and agricultural exhibition hall. Positioned as the gateway to Yuanjiadian village, the site is defined by the adjacent bus terminal and entrance gate, reinforcing its role as a civic threshold. The original matrix of 16 trees between the factory and bus station is partially preserved and reorganized to form a communal landscape. New "U-shaped" circulation corridors enclose the village market and resting pavilion, creating a flexible gathering space for local residents. The industrial buildings are selectively demolished and rebuilt into two main volumes capped with a shared "人-shaped" roof, which organizes circulation toward the east village and surrounding rice fields. A courtyard formed beneath the roof is activated with new planting, while a pedestrian bridge reconnects the west village, strengthening everyday movement and community interaction.
